The Management board of the Bulgarian beekeepers’ breeding association, on the grounds of art. 11 – 13 of the Statute and Decision from the meeting of the MB of BBBA held on December 16, 2015, is calling an Annual reporting and election general assembly of BBBA which will be held on January 16, 2016 (Saturday) at 10:00 in the city of Gabrovo, 14, “Emanuil Manolov” str, “Druzhba” hall of the “Balkan” hotel complex.

The meeting’s agenda will be as follows:

• Report on the Management board’s activity for the past year;
• Adoption of the budget for 2016;
• Report on the activity of the BBBA Control board;
• Acceptance of the Annual financial report for the previous year to be entered in the Central register with the Ministry of Justice;
• Discussion of changes to the association’s Statute;
• Updating the list of members of BBBA;
• Election of new Management and Control board;
• Others.

All members of BBBA or their authorized representatives are invited to participate in the General assembly. In the event that quorum is not met, on the basis of art. 27 of the Law for the non-profit legal entities, the beginning of the assembly will be postponed by an hour and will begin at 11:00 at the same place with the same agenda regardless of the number of members present.

Professional qualification course on the subject: „Selection, breeding of honey bee and production of colony queen bees, drones and swarms”.
In relation to the requirements in the Law on beekeeping (art. 19, par. 3, p. 3) and Ordinance No. 47 (art. 12, p. 6), a professional qualification course on the subject: „Selection, breeding of honey bee and production of colony queen bees, drones and swarms” was held in the period from 14 to 18 December 2015 in the city of Gabrovo.
The event was held by the Bulgarian beekeepers’ breeding association. The course was taught by prof. Doctor of Agricultural sciences Petar Nenchev from the National center for professional training in the system of commercial and industrial chambers in Bulgaria. The curriculum offered the participants theoretical knowledge and practical skills for selection and breeding of honey bees, colony queen bees, drones and swarms.
Many of BBBA’s members and interested beekeepers participated in the course.
After an evaluation of their knowledge, those who successfully completed the course received a certificate for professional qualification “Specialist in selection and breeding of honey bee and production of colony queen bees, drones and swarms”.

In accordance with art. 20, p. 1 of the BBBA Statute we hereby invite the members of the Management and Control board of the Association to the meeting, which will be held on November 7, 2015 (Saturday), at 11:00 in the city of Gabrovo, 14, “Emanuil Manolov” str, “Gabrovo” hall of the “Balkan” hotel complex.

The meeting’s agenda will be as follows:

• Charting specific actions in relation to acquiring a license and commencing BBBA’s breeding activity;
• Establishing and accepting BBBA’s statement regarding the new Ordinance No. 15;
• Establishing and accepting BBBA’s statement regarding the new National beekeeping program for the period 2017–2019;
• Admission of new members of BBBA;
• Discussion of the organization and establishing the agenda of the upcoming Annual General assembly of BBBA;
• Preparation of report on the Association’s activity in 2015.
